Ubuntu Africa Sponsors – HIV AIDS Responsibility Programme

At CFC we believe in giving back to the community. In 2007 we began researching a few of the charity organizations in and around Cape Town in order to find the one that best suited our vision. We chose Ubuntu Africa.

Ubuntu is an African concept based upon the connection of all human beings and sharing what you have to help another. As Nelson Mandela put it: “Ubuntu [is] that profound African sense that we are only human through the humanity of other human beings… [and] has added globally to our common search for a better world.”

Ubuntu Africa (UBA) is a non-profit organization serving over 200 HIV+ children and their families in Khayelitsha, South Africa. UBA provides a unique and comprehensive model of life-thriving care and support by focusing on: Health and Nutrition; Psycho-Social Support; HIV and Life Skills Education; and Community Support. To learn more about UBA and how to get involved, visit their website at www.ubafrica.org or email info@ubafrica.org.
