The existing and dated facades of the towers at Merriman Square on Hertzog Boulevard in the center of Cape Town CBD are currently undergoing major renovations. The budget for the project, including both towers, is in excess of R700 million.
The project went out to tender, and taking into account exceptional service delivery, a passionate team and a history of scaffolding excellence we secured our biggest single contract to date. CFC is working closely with the main contractor and specialist suppliers to make this project a huge success.
As the building is currently tenanted by the Standard Bank Group, a renovation of this kind could not happen from within. With up to 60 men on site and a commitment to making this project a success, we believe that with the joint effort of all involved the result will be a metamorphosis worth taking note of.
The glazing upgrade will bring a welcome change to the face of the building. Double-glazing will also bring down the costs of air-conditioning and is in line with responsible construction. An outdoor facility will be provided under a portion of the structure, with a restaurant and shop anticipated to trade in June 2015.
We at CFC continue to strive for excellence in service delivery, and are committed to being the leading scaffolding company in Cape Town.
